England is the land of origin of the suit and has evolved over many centuries.
In 17thc a three-piece suit, comprising of a frock coat, breeches and a silk waistcoat was worn by all wealthy and aristocratic gentlemen.
Towards the end of the 18thc George “Beau” Brummel, close friend and equerry to The Prince Regent, began to create a style of attire which was more comfortable and flattering to the figure. The evolution of which brought a change towards the modern lounge suit.
The basic pattern has been developed through generations of bespoke tailors. And, by the late 1930’s the suit we are familiar with today has become the accepted uniform. The British initiative established itself as a forerunner, and although copied and varied globally, a British Bespoke suit still remains a prestigious wardrobe addition for aficionado’s worldwide.
Lord Byron declared: “There are three great men of our age: myself, Napoleon and Brummell. But of we three, the greatest of all is Brummell.”
George Brummell’s name became associated with elegant style and good looks. In the late 20th century, a well-respected writer once described George Brummell as the godfather of modern men’s fashion.
The changes George Brummell made directly led to an increase in demand for fashionable men’s clothing in the 19th century. He opened up a new field of men’s fashion suits, and that influence can still be seen today.

THE SCENT OF TIME
Over the last 25 years of my career have encountered innumerable scents, rangingf rom floral,
fruity and minty notes to powdery nuances. I have also incorporated earthy, oceanic and even metallic fragrance elements into my creations. There is
only one scent that I had previously been unable to capture: the scent of time. Is it possible for time to be expressed in a perfume?
THE SCENT OF TIME answers this question. It is the first calendar to express time in the sensual language of perfume. I have created a unique and unmistakable scent for every day in my anniversary year 2013.
Te year, month and day of the respective date determine the base, heart and head notes of each scent.
Time itself thus creates its own fragrance, day by day. Precious natural elements are combined to create 365 delightful blends. Each fragrance has
been carefully selected to create a harmonious composition, precisely tailored to the calendar day.
THE SCENT OF TIME is the most complex project of my career. For the first timeever I have put
together the complete range of scents that a year has to offer with its four exciting seasons. Presented in 44 individual bottles and arranged in the form
a classic fragrance organ, these perfumes are just waiting to be brought to life directly on your skin.
